Privacy Policy
Pure Pressed Co. is a trading name of RMM Industries Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 163 168 107, ABN 74 163 168 107), which makes handmade soap in Australia (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit purepressedco.com or buy from us, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and the bars you bought. You enter these on our secure checkout page, which is run by our payment provider, Stripe.
- Payment details: Stripe collects and processes your card or other payment details. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you contact us: your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
- If you ask us to tell you when we launch, or subscribe to our newsletter: your email address, and the country your request came from.
- When you browse: like every website, our hosting provider receives technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How we use it
- To process your payment, pack and ship your order, and send your receipt.
- To answer your questions and handle returns or problems with an order.
- To tell you when our shop opens, if you asked us to, and to send the newsletter if you subscribed. You can ask us to remove you at any time.
- To keep the records Australian tax law requires.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising or share it with marketers.
Who we share it with
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Stripe processes payments and receipts. If you choose Klarna, Zip or Link at checkout, that provider also handles your details under its own terms.
- Our delivery carrier (usually Australia Post) receives your name, address and phone number to deliver your parcel.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores launch sign-ups.
- Resend sends our emails, such as sign-up confirmations and launch announcements.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security and privacy protections. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies and your bag
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Your shopping bag is saved in your own browser’s local storage so it survives a page reload; it never leaves your device until you check out. Our checkout page, run by Stripe, uses cookies it needs for security and fraud prevention.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for five years, as Australian tax law requires, and then delete them. We delete launch sign-ups and newsletter details when you ask us to or unsubscribe, and correspondence once it’s no longer needed.
Security
The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), payments are handled by Stripe, and access to order records is limited to the people who fulfil them. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (except records we must keep by law). Email hello@purepressedco.com and we’ll reply within 30 days.
Complaints
If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your information, email hello@purepressedco.com and we’ll look into it. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
